After two hours of sleep and a lot of existential questions how to pack all your life for one year into a backpack. Finally direction Paris—> LA —> Tahiti!!!

When you deal easily with your girlfriend to do the queue alone ... 🙂 By the way, around 45 minutes late for the on-boarding... But maybe first time we really don’t care! #freedom

Bonne année ! Su naujais metais! Happy new year! We are sending you a bit of warm and sunshine from the paradise. We celebrated our new years in a deep sleep as the jet lag is hard (11-12 hours of time difference). But all is great. P.S. Now it is rain season in Tahiti. Apparently a fake one... our very red faces can prove it :)

We could never imagined that we could easily see a ray and sharks standing in shallow water! Small ones but a good start for us ;-) Looking forward for diving in Rangiroa and Fakarava!

One of the hitchhiking we did in Bora Bora! To be honest, without any surprise, it's a mixed atmosphere of luxury with all the fancy hotel/bungalow and normal life in French Polynesia. Bora was very short but still, it was good experience!

It was my first try in Bora Bora with my drone (DJI Mavic Ptro) a few days ago that I bought just before leaving France. Well, it's just 1kg more in my bag... But we like the results ;-)

This is a dive we did yesterday with Kaina Plongée Fakarava Diving Center. We heard so many good things about the South Pass of Fakarava... And it's true, it was really awesome ;-) The "Wall of Sharks" is real. More videos to come when bandwidth will be faster ;-)

It's not as clear as we saw, but here is a Hammerhead Shark! It seems it's not so easy to find one, lucky us ;-)

Another video of our dives in the North Pass of Fakarava with Kaina Plongée Fakarava Diving Center! It was a really good experience for us ;-)

We love this video! Do you remember when we talk about our daily sharks show at Rangiroa in front of our tent? Here our video with the drone a few minutes after the fisherman dropped the useless parts of the fishes back to the ocean.

Ready to go again! Thank you Polynesia for being a perfect destination for the beginning of our world trip! And a huge thanks for all the wonderful people we met, who helped us and shared a part of their lives! Lets leave monoi flower country and check what New Zealand will bring us :)

The time passes too fast. We just realized that it’s been exactly one month that we quit everything and left to travel the world. It looks like we left just yesterday. So much new places and new people, some hard moments that was paid back with little pleasures. So, today we celebrated this first month of the trip with some Nutella sandwiches (some sweet moments...)!

We are well arrived in this special side of Indonesia (after a long trip from Makassar ... flight, taxi, bus and 6 hours of ferry) where we will spend a few days to dive and discover the Komodo Islands. Lot of fun ahead :-)

Hi Guys! What is good about such long trips – you never know where you will be tomorrow (at least we don’t). So, it is not a surprise that our plans change a lot 😊! But, that is how coming 6 months should look like (if we will not bring some new destinations in it): - This afternoon we are catching a flight to Dubai, United Arab Emirates !! Yes, quite a change turn, but we have some friends over there, so why not to pay them a visit. - Afterwards, we spend a month in Iran. - 2 months in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan (unfortunately, Kazakhstan we will need to leave for next time…). And the big news is we will assist the World Nomad Festival 😊!!! World Nomad Games 2018 - And for impressive final of our trip we will spend last 3 months in Bolivia, Chile and Argentina. When you think about it – half of our trip already passed by! So fast and so slowly at the same time. We had so many adventures and met so many different people but it’s not finished yet 😉 Stay tuned!

Apparently, we just had our trip halfway anniversary! Now it has been 6 months and 4 days that we travel over the world ;-) During this time, we have seen so many different landscapes: from amazing islands of French Polynesia, the desert beaches if Myanmar, the jungles of Indonesia and Malaysia, the mountains of New Zealand, North East India and Nepal... We had the chance to meet so many different people, so many culture, religion, believes and ways to live. Ahhhh this world is so huge! It will take us a lifetime to visit all the places on Earth ;-) With love from Iran ;-)

It’s time for us to leave Asia! It was crazy and so diverse experiences. We ended our travel here in Kirgizstan with an extraordinary event: The World Nomad Games. Each country of Asia we visited was so unique and after 8 months, it’s hard to remember all the experiences we gained, good or bad. What is sure is we can come back and spend easily another year traveling in Asia, in the same or different countries. But to be honest, we are really happy to flight to another destination to find different people, food, culture, languages, landscapes, animals ... Backpacking is a real job! So, we are going for a couple of days in Istanbul, Turkey to come back in the West side of the planet and one day in Madrid to take our flight for Bolivia. And that will be the start of our last 3 months of our Trip around the World! Hard to believe... :-) We look forward to discover amazing Istanbul about which we heard so many beautiful things! And lucky us, two of our closest people will join us :-) PS: Do you want to laugh 2 minutes? William just flipped his ankle badly… Hopefully, it’s not broken!

Guys, we just landed in London… This is the end of an incredible and crazy adventure, at the same time a very long and very short travel …. 11 months around the world! We were looking to explore the world as much as possible, to discover new things, to learn from the people we met on our way and from our own experiences... And I think we have been well served. It will take a few weeks or even more to really realize how much this world trip will impact our life. We have been really gifted and I hope we became two better persons! One of the main ideas of our initial itinerary was to see a lot of diversity. This is why we choose very different places. Here our final list: French Polynesia -> New Zealand -> Indonesia (Papua, Komodo and Bali) -> Singapore -> Malaysia -> Thailand (just the South) -> Myanmar -> Bangladesh (East only) -> India (just the North East part) -> Nepal -> United Arab Emirates -> Iran (one of the best country we did by the way) -> Tajikistan -> Kirghizstan -> Bolivia -> Chile (from North to Patagonia) -> Argentina. And here a few numbers and highlights of our world trip: - From 332 nights, we slept in 207 different places. And here the split: o 189 in hostel, hotel, guesthouse, bungalow, etc. o 85 nights in our tent o 14 in a bus, 4 in a plane, 5 on a ferry, 2 in train and 1 in a car - We took 30 flights: 15 international and 15 domestics (especially in French Polynesia and Indonesia) - And the other transports: 5 trains, ~25 ferries, 22 days with a car, 9 days with a 4x4, 21 days with a motorbike, 22 days with a scooter and thousands of kilometers of walk/trek. - We hitchhike dozens of times: cars, campervans, small or big trucks inside or on the roof (even a rubbish truck we were not aware before climbing inside…) and even a boat on time! And also, we took several guys when we had a vehicle. - We crossed many borders (inside or outside the country…) and no man lands which were almost every time a funny or boring story. 10 international borders when arriving with a flight, 10 others by foot, cars or buses. - Our budget was around 14 000€ per person. It gave us lot of freedom as backpackers. It’s possible to do it with much less, certainly for half without activities and a lot of pleasure. - We started to learn Spanish and became good divers. Traveling as a backpacker on a budget can be really tough. Lot of our friends see a world trip as long vacation, but it is far to be the truth. Most of the people traveling for such a long period of time leave almost everything: home, family, friends, job, sports, hobbies ... And also, they leave their tranquility, habits, cleanliness, privacy, comfort zone, routine and many others personal things. And often, it will not be easy to rest! It can be really tough... You live in a completely immaterial world! But it’s totally worth it, believe us :-) If you ever thought about such a trip, let us tell you that adventure will bring you much more than you have ever imagined. You will discover the wonders of the world. You will see things you thought impossible. Our nature is so amazing and beautiful. You will receive so much love from others and animals. You will discover new interests (like birds watching for us). You will love sharing your adventures and part of yourself with others you meet on the way with a glass of the typical local drink. You will learn so much about yourself! We could tell you much more... Without any doubt, you will have so much fun! Now, it’s time for us to step back and focus on what comes next... What we can call the « normal life ». We still have December to think about that while enjoying all the things we missed so much: family, friends, cleanliness... and cheese, baguette, charcuterie, raclettes. Ok let’s stop talking about food! We have really appreciated your support, your messages… Thanks everyone for having followed our adventures! We will update our blog with articles this time and we will get new trips anyway (probably a bit shorter!). Augustina & William
